Lesson planning can be a very helpful tool for teachers as it can help them plan and organize a class so that they can be a more effective instructor. Lesson plans can also help the teacher create a record of everything the class is doing, while allowing them to plan the lessons and to maintain flexibility in the lesson plans. Lesson plans should include the leaner objectives, the teacher's personal aims, the language point, the teaching aids, the anticipated problems, the procedure, the phase, the timing, interaction, class level, the number of students, the date/time and the necessary names. Lesson plans should be specific but not scripted and should be periodically referenced throughout the lesson so that teachers can keep track of the objectives.
