There are so many different teaching methods and lesson structures that I learned about in this unit, some of which I have experienced as a student learning a foreign language in school. I definitely agree that encouraging students to talk as much as possible is extremely important for language acquisition and that using the right activities for the activate stage of each lesson will really help students to hone their speech. For the current day and age, the element of discovery, while not really discussed in the ESA teaching model, is going to play a huge role in language acquisition. The web is at every students' fingertips and translation tools could prove useful for provoking curiosity and encourage creativity in student work.
