In this unit I learned how to make a lesson plan and the information that should be included in order to make it effective. There are reasons for why a teacher especially an inexperienced teacher should plan their lessons, for example they can refer to it in the lesson if they get stuck. Some basic principles that should be considered when making a lesson plan are make it simple, do not script the lesson and make sure there is a balance of skills covered in it. This unit has been helpful in teaching me how to create a lesson plan and the criteria that it should cover to use it effectively for teaching English in a classroom.
