As this unit warned, I think it was by far the hardest and most complicated. However, for me, it has also been the most informative. I have never learned the phonetic alphabet so I spent a significant time learning and researching it. I am American so the way I use the IPA is a little different from the examples provided in this lesson (that's why I did research). I found the best part of this lesson were the examples I could demonstrate to myself by just making sounds with my mouth. I used to take voice lessons as a signer, so understanding the complicated way our vocal cords and mouth make sounds made a lot of sense to me.
