The content is important because I've not taken classes on pedagogy in a very long time. It helped me remember some of it but it also gave me new insight on how to think of learners and teachers. Taking into account students and their motivations are important and probably a very big mistake new teachers make because it's easy it would be easier to stand in front of a group of students and lecture. It is often the model one has had most of their educational career and it would benefit everyone to learn the different types of teaching methods and pick one that is most comfortable for you.
