This lesson involved watching two videos with the same teacher teaching the same class. In the first video this is done ineffectively and the second it is done effectively. In the first video the teacher has a very harsh and dismissive attitude towards the students. He starts by coming in late and never properly explains the lesson to his students. Additionally, he does not even bother to learn their names. Watching the video, I honestly felt uncomfortable and sorry for the students. At some points he even seemed rude. Watching the second video, even I felt more comfortable just observing and I am sure the students felt the same way. This video showed me just how important your attitude and preparing ahead of time can impact a lesson for your students. The students were more engaged in the second lesson and seemed to have a much better grasp of the material.
