For me, this unit was fun and interesting. I had to read over slowly and carefully to fully grasp the content without confusing it. I learned that there are seven most commonly used tenses that can be used with future meanings. These include: the future simple, the future continuous, the future perfect, the future perfect continuous, be going + infinitive, the present simple and the present continuous. The future simple- the affirmative + verb The future continuous- says that something will be in progress at a particular moment in time. The format for this sentence type is - subject + will + be + verb + ing (present participle) The future perfect- used to say that something will have been done, completed or achieved by a certain time in the future. The format for this sentence structure- will + have + past participle Future perfect continuous- says how long something will have continued by a certain time. Structure: will + have + been + verb + ing Be going + infinitive- Similar to the present continuous but the 'be going to' structure is always followed by a verb
