Before learning unit 3, I already used some of the methodologies in my classes. Eg. Grammam- translation. In the summer vacation of 2017, I taught teens English grammar because I was the only local teacher in the academic team of the center at that time and all the other 13 teachers are English native speakers. I did feel the drawback, but I tried my best do make it fun.
Honestly speaking, I am not familiar with the academic names of the methodologies. While most of the games and the ways of teaching techniques, I have applied in my classes for a few years. I used to teach kids and teens and now I transfer to be an adult teacher. I need to use the theories more deeply in the near future. And I learnt that all lessons should start with an Engage stage and finish with an Activate stage.
