In unit 12, I learned another pair of skills, they are productive skills- speaking and writing, including games. In China, there are many language training schools. The reason that the students choose these schools to study is that they are eager to improve their listening and speaking skills, and they wouldn’t like to focus too much time on writing in class. While as a teacher, I still think that writing is a necessary part in a lesson. As for the adult learners, I think they have better comprehension and behaviors, so I give them some writing work to do after class. Most of the time, they forgot it because of various reasons. It was a pity. But they even think that they can write it without problems, and the truth is that they made many different mistakes and they can’t find the reasons themselves – always get back to you try o ask it again and again. As for the speaking skill, students realize that they need to improve it, otherwise, they might lose some good opportunities when they work or when they try to get a better job. I just feel that ESA is every where, not matter what you teach, you can use ESA.
