This lesson covered various methodologies, then explained the Engage, Study, and Activate lesson plan structure thoroughly. I learned about methodologies that I have not yet heard of including Suggestopedia and the silent method. I had to look up what Cuisenaire rods were. I was pleasantly surprised to find activities and warm-ups that I had not recognized from my time teaching. I also usually try to have my warm-ups be a bit related to lesson. I appreciated the specific instructions on feedback. They seem to be good guidelines, but may not work for every single methodology. I was also surprised at some of the specificity of the instructions like that drilling should always be 3X3. Perhaps there should be some flexibility?
