This unit talks about what makes a good teacher and what makes a good learner as well as different motivations to learn. A range of different roles of a teacher are described including manager, assessor, organizer, prompter, participator, tutor, facilitator, model and monitor. The language learning levels from beginner to advanced are defined. Teaching seems so much more exciting to me as I think of using the different roles described as opposed to the thought of standing at the front of the class and talking the whole time. As a language learner myself (learning Turkish) I can identify so many of these roles that my own teacher used and realize that I have had a really great teacher.
