As a native English speaker a lot of the grammar comes easily whether it’s because it was formally learned or drilled into us through writing and reading. However, if asked why the grammar works this way, or patterns within the grammar I am not as confident in teaching it. As I worked through this unit I found myself trying to consider how I may explain this to a class, or to different level of English learners. Likewise, I also considered my previous experience learning other languages and which activity and how it was explained to me in a way so I could understand the grammar of another language.
