The most important thing I grasped out of this unit, is that it’s a continuation of how teachers find a balance of what role to play within the classroom. In order to do so, they must be able to engage with students depending on the activity the students are doing. Likewise, they must also be able to keep students continuously engaged by switching up the way material is presented and learned. A teacher must be able to have control of the classroom, but also simultaneously, students must be comfortable enough with the teacher to practice and make mistakes as well, and not feel embarrassed to be corrected by the teacher or fellow students. Students should also be able to practice the language as much as possible in class, while also absorbing proper pronunciation and native English speaking skills.
