In this unit I have learned about “Teacher and Learners”, their characteristics and their relationships. A good teacher is one who shows qualities such as patience and kindness. He or she establishes a good relationship with students and strive to motivate them. I also learned to identify who is a good student by their characteristics . In my opinion the most important characteristic is his/her desire to learn, because it is the starting point to master a new language. I found the definition of the 9 roles of the teacher very interesting and I would like to go deeper into this subject. I also learned about the difference between adult and young learners, this is something we must take into account in each class. Finally, knowing the different levels of ability in the English language allows us to give individual attention to the learner according to his or her weaknesses.
