This unit was an introduction of the basics of teacher and student roles. I learned the variety of reasons a student would want to study a foreign language, as well as, their motivations for doing so. It seems important to understand a student’s motivation in order to be an effective teacher. Additionally, I learned that a successful teacher must excel in a variety of roles to be an effective teacher.
