In this lesson conditionals and reported speech were addressed. A conditional is subject to one or more conditions or requirements that are to be met; made or granted on certain terms. They are forms of speech that creates clauses with "if". There are Zero Conditionals, First Conditionals, Second Conditionals, Third Conditionals, and Mixed Conditionals. Additionally reported speech and direct speech were discussed. Reported speech refers to a speaker's words reported in subordinate clauses governed by a reporting verb, with the required changes of person and tense. Direct speech is the reporting of speech by repeating the actual words of a speaker, for example “I'm going,” she said.
