In this unit I have learned the different types of methods in teaching. This unit has helped me out alot because previous to this I didn’t know that there were such things as elicitation and ESA.
I believe following the ESA method will really help me out in teaching as you first engage with the students, then study on the lesson of the day and activate the students knowledge. This is a great way of improving a relationship with the students to get to know them. If ESA didn’t exist, I think teaching would be a little bit of a challenge because there is no method to follow. You just go with the flow. But learning about this method will definitely help me with my teaching career.
I also learned alot about how to correct students without humiliating them and when to correct them. This has been my favortie unit so far.
