This unit is about pronunciation and phonology. Many teachers believe that pronunciation is not important, but it is. It can be divided into intonation and stress. Intonation is the difference of volume and pitch within a sentence that can be used to change meaning. Stress is what syllable gets emphasized in a word. This unit goes far in depth about phonology, and the different ways the phonetic sounds are made using different parts of the mouth. I think this information, although interesting, is a bit too much and advanced for the level of English teaching I will be doing. Conceptually, it did open my eyes to how word sounds can be grouped together, so I could help specific problems better.
