Teaching grammar to students can be very delicate process because it usually hard for students to distinguish different tenses and decide which to use. Teacher must clearly state the situations when the particular tense is used and using a lot of examples from real life situations to which students can relate can be very useful. Using many sentences so students can understand the pattern of each tense is one of the ways to help them distinguish different tenses. When they get familiar with each tense we can use cross reference giving sentences for all tenses learned and let students try to recognize tenses and give reasons why.
