This unit was on lesson planning, the uses of it (ie helps maintain structure, especially for inexperienced teachers, keep a record of what students have learned for you or future teachers), what a typical lesson plan should include (ie learning objectives, procedure and timing of activities, the language goal for the lesson, the class level, any aids you may be using, anticipated problems and solutions and more). I also learned that although lesson planning is necessary and beneficial, a sense of flexibility is also essential.
