I have learned that there are many different aspects to both good teachers and good learners, but that both of them rely on building a foundation of mutual respect and enthusiasm for learning. I have also learned that the type of role that a teacher performs in a classroom can vary widely in the midst of one lesson, depending on the type of activity or teaching style. A teacher should be aware of the reasons that the students are attending to the class and work to cultivate and build upon that motivation. Additionally, the teacher should cater their teaching style to the level and age of the students -- teaching a young elementary student is much different than teaching an advanced adult student.
