This unit describes basic aspects of English grammar every teach should know, the minimal amount of grammar. I believe, there are many more things to be learnt, but it can't be done till a teacher has this basic minimum we can learn from Unit 2 of our online course. Why it is important to know grammar of the language you teach (study) well? Some people think that correct English grammar matters only to teachers and is of no real importance in daily life. I think, this is certainly not true. Grammar, regardless of the country or the language, is the foundation for communication. The same like a foundation of a house. If there is no strong foundation, you will never be able to build a good house! When a message is relayed with the correct grammar, it is easier to understand the purpose and meaning of that message. In order to communicate, a learner should know the grammar of the language. It is important to be able to express yourself, but this should be done in a way that people find easy to understand.
