Throughout the history of teaching and learning languages, there were many different methods and technics applied to achieve better results. Among them are grammar-translation, audio-lingualism, PPP, task based learning, the silent way, the lexical approach and so on. Nowadays ESA (Engage-Study-Activate) method became the most popular as it helps not only to motivate students, but also expose them to the language and give them the opportunity to use it. I am going to employ this method into my teaching practice in future. Also depending on the level of the students and learning objectives I will choose Straight Arrow, Boomerang or Patchwork ESA lesson to make my classes more effective. And for each stage of the lesson (Engage, Study and Activate) I will use different games, activities and teaching aids to make the learning process interesting and fun for my students. And last, but not least I will let my students correct their own mistakes and errors or correct them by myself when it is appropriate in a way to let students learn from them and not to become demotivated.
