This unit helped to break down and clarify the different aspects of the English language which students will need to learn as well as how they fit into the different forms of the ESA teaching framework. It also helped me understand choosing vocabulary to teach students, which would typically be based on its level of appropriateness to the students as well as the task at hand, the frequency with which the students will come across it/be able to use it, and it's teachability which will be largely dependent on the level of the learners.
