After watching both videos it is very easy to see just how crucial the role of the teacher is in the foreign language classroom. The first lesson is a total failure where the teacher was disorganized, not well prepared for the lesson, sometimes disrespectful towards the students and seemed as if he didn't care about whether they understand the language point or not. The lesson was poorly planned (if planned at all), confusing and boring. The atmosphere in the first lesson was not supportive towards the students, not encouraging nor caring and most probably the students didn't learn anything new in it or very little indeed. The language point was not presented clearly and it was not understandable. The students felt intimidated and frustrated. The second lesson was pretty effective in teaching the students a specific language point. The teacher did everything to establish a good rapport with the students which is necessary for successful learning.
