This unit covered several different things: attributes of a good teachers and students, differences in student competencies as well as how those differences can affect their experiences as learners, and it also briefly talked about the Common European Framework. I learned from this unit that a teacher has to be aware of certain characteristics of his or her students, such as age and language level, in order to be a more effective educator. This is because a teacher must change their activities according to their student´s needs. It also discussed the variety of roles that teachers perform in a classroom, some of which I was not aware of.
