In this unit I have reviewed parts of speech and their classification. I think recognizing parts of speech is an essential knowledge as it gives some basic understanding of the English language sentence structure. It also helps analyze sentences and understand them. Knowing the distinguishing properties of parts of speech will help students not only to understand sentences, but also to construct the correct one’s. Although these are the very basics of the English grammar, teachers should make sure that they can disseminate this knowledge to their students.
