I learned that there are four things that students need to do with new language; be exposed to it, understand its meaning, understand how it's constructed and be able to practice and produce it. Teaching vocabulary can be easier for students if they can relate the words to their own language and other similar English words they already know. I learned that different activities are more suited for specific areas of Engaging, Studying, and Activating. For E.g A debate is appropriate for the activate stage but not for the Engage stage.
