In this chapter i have learnt how to teach vocabulary, grammar structures and language functions. First is vocabulary, although vocabularies are often based on textbook, I have learnt about the factors to consider when teaching vocabulary such as frequency of usage. Also, when teaching vocabulary, the teacher needs to make sure that the student understands the meaning, use, spelling, pronunciation, grammar and their interaction with other words.Next is grammar structure. In teaching grammar, the teacher should make sure that the students understand meaning of the language and its usage. Lastly is language functions. Language functions is used in inviting, agreeing, refusing etc. For language functions, the teacher should make sure that students use the appropriate language in various situations such as polite, impolite etc.
