The unit is devoted to pronunciation: certain intonations, sounds that we use and how we produce these sounds. As for me, this is the easiest and at the same time the most difficult area of language. As a schoolar, I have never learned phonetic alphabet and intonations, it all came to me naturally through the use of language. Even now I can barely recognize these symbols and they present no interest to me as well as intonations. It was all discovered by me outside the class. English is a foreign language to me, and as a learner I cannot agree that these areas are worthy being taught seriously. Correcting wrong pronunciation is one thing, but devoting entire lesson to it is just worthless
