Unit 1 provided a taste of what is to be expected when teaching English to a class. I would say the biggest takeaway for me was that this unit started to "turn the gears" in my head so to speak on what I should expect when teaching English. Furthermore, I liked the specific breakdowns of what each tier of language mastery were, as presented in the PDF. I had not previously known the difference between intermediate and advanced specifically. I also found the section which talked about the attributes a quality teacher should posses to be helpful. Such as being a prompter, facilitator and manager.
