This unit teaches the past tenses and how they relate to past time periods. There are four forms of the past tenses. This unit showed us the verbs with an irregular simple past form. These types of forms do not have any rules by which to teach students their usage. Therefore, this means that as a teacher you will either have to be creative in how you explain these verbs to students or hope that they already have some concept of how these verbs are used in the past simple tense. I have to say that I struggled with learning the past tenses and relating them to past time periods. I definitely find it in my best interest to review this unit.
