This unit builds off previous lessons to describe which methodologies to use to teach vocabulary, grammar, and language functions. In teaching vocabulary, it is important to select vocabulary that is accurate to the level of the student, accurate to tasks at hand, and how often it could be used. For grammar, it is important to obviously teach what it means, how and when it could be used, the forms and patterns it is most commonly used in, and if there is any difference between the spoken and written form. Language functions are introduced in this unit, and they are used to suggest, invite, refuse, agree, or disagree. They come in patterns, should be used in activation, and have a few forms: formal, informal, tentative, and technical.
