TYPES OF CLASSES
Teaching beginners - Different catagories of beginners. There are 2 or 3 catagories. Teaching English to be beginners may be daunting, but also very rewarding and enjoyable.
Teaching individuals - Students feel that the course may be more geared towards their personal needs and wants compared to a group class.
Teaching children - Children possess innate curiosity which can be a motivational factor. Children are accustomed to listening to their parents, patiently repeating single wors while the child focuses on a real object or activity.
Business English / English for pecific purposes - A growing amount of English teaching is to business people. It is often used in areas such as telephoning, introductions and presentations etc. Knowledge of business is useful, but not a prerequisite.
Teaching monolinguists/ multilinguists - Students are from various different countries or nationalities. No common language other than English. Students get more experience and exposure to the English language being that they are studing in a native English country.
