After learning about present tenses in English, this unit was easier to comprehend. I was able to refer to information I learned in the present tense unit to help me organize my notes on past tenses. I feel that if students are given a strong foundation in grammar early on, learning about English tenses might be easier to manage. I certainly wish I had learned grammar this extensively when I was young.
