I understand the importance of lesson planning and this unit has given me many great ideas. I have learnt better strategies to prepare oneself for a lesson and how to plan for the long term. This unit stresses the importance of being organised and prepared for a lesson and/or sequence of lessons. I have learnt that lesson plans should be simple, flexible, include the interactions (teacher - student etc) and contain personal aims. I found the sample lesson plan helpful and I will use the template provided in my future practice.
