The video presentations depict that the attitude of the teacher determines learning outcome.
Observations from first video
1.The teacher was nonchalant, and aloof. This negatively impacted the students and made them nervous and indecisive.
2. There was no ice breaker which would have contributed to the students feeling comfortable and relaxed.
3. Teacher was extremely disorganized. Being organized is one of the rules to lesson planning.
4. He was also distracted by his cell phone in the first video. This was disrespectful to the students.
Observations from second video
1. Self introduction was done by teacher and he had students do the same. This serves as an icebreaker and made students more relaxed.
2. Teacher was more engaging and friendly
3. Clear instructions and explanations were given which amplified students learning
4. Teacher used positive comments as feedback
5. Teacher used gestures to elicit response
