This unit provided one example of a badly taught English lesson and one example of a well-taught English lesson. In the first video, the teacher is visibly impatient. He also fails to give clear explanations and, as a result, has to resort to fishing for answers from the students. In the second, he is clear, organized, and friendly. From this unit, I have gained a clearer sense of how a good teacher organizes the lesson, explains the concepts, and engages the students.
