This unit provided lots of different ideas and perspectives on how to deal with managing a classroom. As with several of the previous units, there is no clear cut way to run a classroom or manage students and being flexible with different ideas and techniques is the best way to be prepared for managing a classroom. I think the most important part of this unit was getting ideas on how to keep students interested and attentive. I understand that this course is an overview for teaching English to all ages but I believe it would be very helpful to have a section dedicated to specifically dealing with younger students. I have been teaching Kindergarten and Elementary aged students for several years now and it was a huge learning curve, trying to figure out techniques to control and maintain interest for those younger students.
