I'm thinking of how effective things like phonetic language would be to the students I will be teaching. Even mouth charts might be confusing. While it is good to have an understanding of these things, the practicality of them in a classroom where I am just trying to give students a foothold in a language is limited at best. When I learned, I always had it related to my language, and that always made it easier.
