I usually create lesson plans for when I tutor, but I have found that I often spend a lot more time on an activity than I had predicted would be the case. Therefore, I agree with the emphasis on flexibility. Personally, I would rather have too much material rather than too little. I usually have extra activities planned to fill up time if needed. From previous experience, an area of improvement that I need to focus on is monitoring my lessons and taking the time to write down notes and feedback. I was usually so tired after the lesson that I did not take as much time to do this as I should have. If there is a way I can build in ten minutes after the lesson to reflect and record feedback before leaving the classroom, I would like to try to incorporate that.
