This unit is very complexe because there are so many different ways to engage students and to present a lesson. However, I do find the ESA concept more fulfilling because it allows you to cover all the bases without being the center of the lesson. I have been known to use patchwork as well and I find it helpful when you're working on a subject that is a bit long and difficult to finish in one lesson. Is there really a right or wrong method? I think that this is a very hard question to answer. Some of is is based on feeling.
