The past tenses are quite simple when it deals with the basics, but when dealing with the tenses that are often taught, it's just as hard for an Englisg speaker to differentiate between how they should be used. the past perfect and the past perfect continuous are very complicated because these tenses aren't used often and at best when they are used, they are not used correctly. There should be a simpler way of learning and explaning theses tenses.
