This unit enabled me to consolidate my understanding of tenses (for simple, continuous, perfect and perfect continuous). In learning about the future tense, I was able to identify the keywords for each tense to determine which one it was. I feel that I am able to better identify each tense whether it is for past, present or future tense. In the mistakes I have made in the previous tense units, I have an understanding of (where and) why students might become confused. For me, it was most beneficial to understand the form of each tense, so I could easily identify words being used to then determine the tense. I understand that each student thinks differently but I feel that simplifying (breaking down) the structure of tense sentences provides easier understanding.
