This topic was really an eye opener. I was able to learn about the subsets of the tenses: simple, continuous or progressive, perfect and perfect continuous and the rules associated with each. E.g with present perfect tenses we use `for` with periods of time and `since` with points of time. As it pertains to past participle, I learnt the usage of gone and been. Been meaning an action is completed, whereas gone means the action is ongoing. The present perfect tense relates past activities to present. I learnt that we do not use present perfect continuous to indicate the things we have done; we use present perfect instead.
