This unit covered a lot of the basics of class layout and student-teacher interaction, including building rapport and discipline strategies. Having not had the chance to arrange my own classroom before, I found the section on classroom layout particularly interesting. I had not thought of the logistics of having a teacher in a "dominant" position, but that is the way that my old classroom had been laid out for me. I know that in the future, when I have a chance to do my own layout, I will come back to this section for pointers!
