This unit includes conditionals and reported speech and relevant tenses and tense changes. I never would have considered the tense change that occurs when reporting speech. This highlights one of the important problems that native speakers encounter when teaching their language, that there are rules they follow but don't know explicitly. I also think that the formulaic nature of the conditionals and reporting of speech lend themselves to potentially fun matching games unlike some more irregular aspects of English.
