With this unit, I acquired a better understanding of auxiliary verbs and their functions in a sentence. In an earlier unit, it was said that English has 12 tenses: past, present, and future tenses, with each divided into four subcategories; those being, simple, perfect, continuous, and perfect continuous, but with the 'going to' tense, present continuous, and present simple also applying to future tenses, would it not be more accurate to say there are 15 tenses in the English language? Maybe not, considering present simple and present continuous tenses are, by definition, present, but certainly the 'going to' tense is distinct? I'm not sure.
In any case, I still enjoy these grammar units, because they're surprisingly challenging, and help me better understand the language I use everyday.
