This unit explains the various ways to express the future including both future tenses and present tenses. I learned how to explain the uses of each tense to non-native English speakers. For example, to explain "going to" future I would use an example that shows future plans such as "My little brother is going to learn how to swim," and point out that the intention of learning how to swim is an appropriate use of the "going to" future.
