Here Below you can check out the feedback (for one of our units) of one of the 16.000 students that last year took an online course with ITTT!

Unit two deals with an overview of English grammar, covering several details of basic concepts such as nouns (including subcategories such as countable/uncountable, proper, common, compound, and collective), verbs (regular/irregular, auxiliary, those of action or state), prepositions, pronouns, adjectives (including comparatives and superlatives), and adverbs. Obviously, the topic of English grammar cannot be covered in depth in one unit, but overall these various topics were covered well and the unit provides a good base from which to plan further study. It was particularly useful to have certain common errors mentioned, such as the understandable confusion between possessive pronouns and possessive adjectives (especially “its” and “his”). These errors are good to keep in mind when teaching grammar, so that they can be clarified well and students’ understanding can be checked regularly. Personally, I found The Adverb Game to be an interesting suggestion on how to help students revise their adverbs in a fun and interactive way. This game involves getting students to choose a particular adverb and situation, which they then have to mime out. Overall this was a good unit that covered the basics of many aspects of English grammar, leaving room for further investigation into several of these topics at later points in the course.
